Five Kinds of Healthy Drinks at Dinner Party

At the end of the year, different holidays come one after another. After having been busy for a whole year, everyone wants to have a good rest, so there will be a lot of gatherings and dinner parties among friends. At the dinner party, people always drink too much alcohol, which may easily harm the body. Then what kinds of drinks should we choose at the dinner party, so as to protect our health? The following section will recommend five healthy drinks for everyone.

First, yoghurt Yoghurt contains a large number of active lactic acid bacteria, which can regulate the flora balance in the intestinal tract. If you have to drink alcohol at the party, it is best to drink a glass of yogurt first, which can play a good buffering function in the stomach. What’s more, yoghurt has a certain feeling of fullness, so it can make you eat less oil and fatty food after drinking.

Second, fruit juice Fruit juice contains a large number of vitamins, minerals, and a certain amount of biologically active substances and dietary fiber, so it can make up for the lack of nutrition when you drink alcohol. It is best to drink freshly squeezed juice, which has the best nutrition. If the juice has been placed for a long time, it is easy to be oxidized.

Third, tomato juice Tomato juice contains a lot of nutrients, such as vitamin C, minerals, lycopene, and so on. Especially lycopene, it has the most prominent health benefits on human body, and has strong antioxidant activity. What’s more, lycopene has a good effect of clearing away the free radicals in the body, which is far better than that of other carotenoids and vitamin E. As a result, it is also known as “plant gold”.

Fourth, soybean milk Soybean milk contains various kinds of nutrients, including unsaturated fatty acids. It is low in saturated fatty acids and contains no cholesterol. What’s more, soybean milk also contains a small amount of soluble dietary fiber, which can help to promote the peristalsis of the gastrointestinal tract and prevent constipation. Sugar-free or low-sugar soybean milk has much better effect.

Fifth, tea The tea polyphenol and caffeine contained in tea have the effect of preventing cancer, cardiovascular diseases and so on. Green tea, Oolong tea, Pu’er tea, black tea, and scented tea are all good choices. During the winter, it is best not to drink the tea which has become cold, because it is easy to cause diarrhea, which is very bad for the health of the body.

Garlic Chicken Recipe

Usually I use a lot of garlic when cooking, because I love the taste of garlic. Fortunately my husband likes too. However, many people do not like garlic, specially because of its intensive smell. It already happened that some colleagues of my husband told him that he had garlic breath (uppss!). Since then, I have to pay attention when I cook during the week to not exaggerate.

I also love garlic because it goes well with so many things like chicken, seafood, meat, etc. If you are a garlic fan like me, you will love this garlic chicken recipe. It combines chicken breasts with lots of garlic and traditional Asian seasonings like gingerroot and soy sauce. It is served with rice, making a great meal.

Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (about 1 lb.)
1 egg white
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon sherry (or dry white wine)
4 green onions
1 teaspoon minced gingerroot
3 teaspoons minced fresh garlic (about 6 medium cloves)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Hot cooked rice

Sauce
1 teaspoon crushed chili paste (sambal oelek) or more to taste
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon water
2 tablespoons sherry (or dry white wine)
2 tablespoons soy sauce

Directions:
Place chicken breasts in freezer for 1 to 2 hours or until very firm but not frozen solid. Slice crosswise into thin shreds. In small bowl, lightly beat egg white, then mix in cornstarch and sherry (or wine), stirring until cornstarch is dissolved. Add chicken and mix well to coat all pieces. Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, slice green onions on the diagonal into very thin slices. Mince gingerroot and garlic. Combine all sauce ingredients, mixing well.

Heat wok or frying pan, add oil, and stir-fry chicken until no longer pink. Remove chicken with a slotted spoon. Add onions, ginger and garlic to wok and stir-fry about 30 seconds, until ginger and garlic are fragrant but not brown. Return chicken to wok, re-stir sauce ingredients and add to wok. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is well combined, hot and
bubbly and thickens slightly. Turn off heat and splash with about 1 teaspoon of dark sesame oil. Serve over rice.

Caffeinated Drinks Gamers and students live on caffeine

It’s common knowledge that professional gamers, whether they be PC / Computer gamers or console gamers such as professional XBOX or PS3 gamers, rely heavily on the use of caffeinated drinks and caffeinated products to maintain an edge while gaming. Caffeine increases cognitive function, lowers delayed response times, increases synapse relay in the brain, and provides a feeling some describe as ‘pleasantly euphoric’ while under the effects of strong caffeinated drinks. The two just go hand in hand. Since the 80’s in America, caffeinated drinks such as the early Jolt cola or Josta brands were available but the trend didn’t catch on with mainstream culture until much, much later.

Using caffeinated beverages and products has become ubiquitous in Western society. The benefits of cheap caffeinated drinks and products available are well worth their investment. Like gamers, students have also shown an infatuation with caffeine. The cognitive benefits provided by drinking a beverage with a high caffeine content are numerous. Caffeinated beverages stimulate the cortex of your brain heightening the intensity of mental activity. This can result in a temporary feeling of alertness and, for some period of time, banishes drowsiness and feelings of fatigue. The brain’s natural acuity increases, you become more cognitive, your mental acquisition improves, your short-term memory is given a significant boost, and again, you experience a pleasant euphoria; all thanks to caffeine! No wonder %54 of adult Americans consume 9oz of some variety of a caffeinated drink everyday.

Everyone is unique and as such, everyone will have their preference on what caffeinated drinks, what types of caffeinated products, how much caffeine they wish to consume, and how the consumption of caffeine will affect them overall. If you’re a young adult, student, gamer, busy young professional, truck driver, or anyone else who leads a busy and hectic life, then your best bet is to purchase a few different caffeinated products and see what works best for you! Just be sure to use caffeinated drinks sparingly and use them purely as a tool for productivity. Consuming too many caffeinated drinks or other products actually builds your tolerance towards them and the highly stimulating effects become harder and harder to procure again. Have fun but don’t have too much fun!

Make A Magic Themed Party Sparkle With Fantastic Drinks And Gifts

Both kids and adults will enjoy a party centered on a magic theme. The whole event should follow the theme in the party supplies, invitations, and party favors. Start with the magic themed invitations to set the mood of the celebration. Maybe include a small magic trick in the invitation. Give out top hats as party favors to the guests as they arrive to wear during the party. To save a little money try using solid colored paper products but still use magic party supplies as the decorations and centerpieces.

Creative Magic Party Drink Ideas: Try serving “magic potion” at your next Magic Party by adding frozen juice or fruit punch ice cubes to clear lemon-lime soda. When the ice cubes melt, they magically change colors and flavors to the delight of your young guests. Use different colored ice cubes to add variety and fun. You can also add pop rocks to the drinks and make them pop and crackle to life. For adults, popular mixed drinks (you could try the black magic vodka drink if you like), soda, and beer usually are the best choices for a magic-themed party. Use a magic wand to mix the drinks.

Be creative with the Magic Gift ideas; for instance magic tricks and sets are extremely appropriate. White gloves, magic wands, and top hats would be suitable. A personalized deck of cards would also make a great, with an inscription such as “The Amazing Drake” on each card. Such gifts can be found in magic and novelty shops, as well as online. Magic books and DVDs demonstrating magic tricks would also be a great gift for any aspiring magician. You might even find books, movies and documentaries on famous magicians throughout history such as Harry Houdini. They would also appreciate a dramatic black magician’s cape, as well as the iconic magician’s top hat. If you are handy with a sewing machine, creating and personalizing the cape yourself would add even more thoughtfulness to the gift. A gift certificate to the world’s famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California is a special gift for someone in or traveling to the area.

End the event with the theme handing out magic party favors. They can be personalized with the party goer’s names or with the date of the birthday or celebration. Mini stuffed bunnies are cute and cuddly for the little ones. Decks of cards (which can be personalized) are perfect for both adults and teenagers.
